For a relaxing walk on a nice day, a game of football or just somewhere to hang out with friends, St James’s Park may be the perfect place to go in London.
Set in the heart of the city it offers stunning views and a lake full of wildlife and birds, including pelicans, according to the Royal Parks website.
The oldest park in London, it has also has many historical and literary connections and three royal palaces surround the lush green lawns and rustling trees.
St James’s Palace, the Houses of Parliament, which was formally known as Westminster and Buckingham Palace all look down upon the thousands of people that pass through the area every day.
Other popular city parks which can offer somewhere for people to relax and unwind, or perhaps enjoy a picnic, are Hyde Park and Regents Park.
