Woody Allen set to jazz up Berlin
Culture vultures hoping to dig some cool sounds while on a break in Berlin may want to check out the Tempodrom later this month.
While the venue hosts a variety of trade shows, galas, award ceremonies and musical performances throughout the year, March 22nd could be a particularly special date to put in the diary as Hollywood legend Woody Allen takes to the stage.
But the man behind films such as Sleeper and Annie Hall will not be discussing his cinematic history, but rather playing the clarinet.
On this date, Woody Allen & His New Orleans Jazz Band will appear at the Berlin venue, with Allen accompanied by Simon Wettenhall on trumpet and pianist Conal Fowkes, as well as several other musicians.
Tickets for this gig – which should surely not be missed by jazz fans – are already on sale and start from €52 (£47).
However, those unable to make the show may want to take in next month’s production of Swan Lake, set to run at the Tempodrom from April 23rd.
